Dan, Stacker is faster and compresses better than DOS 6.0 DBLSPACE program. I suggest waiting for the new Stacker 3.1 as it will be more invisible to the user. Apparently you are not much into reading README files on your disks because it tells you about MSCDEX. The older version of MSCDEX works under DOS 5.0 if you run SETVER to tell DOS to return the DOS 3.1 version number to MSCDEX. You can also D/L a copy of MSCDEX from the MSL forum and several other forums on CIS that is DOS 5.0 compatible without running SETVER. Unfortunately DOS 6.0 does not allow you to call the compressed drive by another name. It seems silly to give up a good program because you have to change some drive letters in your autoexec.bat file. Good luck! Bruce
