Hi Jerry, I'm not sure whether you got an answer for your problem, however, I'll get my 2 cents in: Are you using MS-DOS 6.0 or 6.2? If you're using 6.0, then try and get a copy of 6.2. What happened is that Microsoft added a Lazywriter or Lazycache to 6.0 so that the user would get a prompt faster after he/he saved a file, however, if the user were to turn off the computer before the file was saved 4 seconds later, then, of course, all the data would be lost.
