Kevin, get the fastest processor available at the time you buy. That would seem to be a Pentium 66 or even a Pentium 90. All the 3ds "heavy hitters" I know are buying Pentiums so that's where I'd go. If you are doing video resolution output you'll probably need a large SCSI II hardrive (2 gigs, or so) and a minimum of 32MB of RAM. If you are doing flic resolution stuff (320×200 256 colours) then you may get by with half of that amount of RAM and a quarter of the disk space. Get some way of backing it all up (DAT 2/4 gb drives are cost-effective) and a nice big 17" or more monitor (your eyes will thank you).
