Hiya,
>> I've just fooled with it for about an hour… it's obviously going to be the
next great step <<
Of that I have no doubt. The idea of being able to paint directly on an object
eliminates map positioning which can be a task in itself. That you can refine
and store what you've painted, even if its just a coordinate system of some
sort, is a real help. I imagine a job will come along that makes it a must have
and I'll get it then.
>> to be in a position… <<
Nice wish, I'm sure they'd consider your input regardless. I know I would. (I
_did_ come to think of it. <g>) Actually you've had quite a few good
suggestions about a variety of things. No reason to be modest about expressing
them now. 🙂
So… I uploaded an imagine in Lib 1 as part of a tutorial that proved rather
inadequate but I think got the point across. I was going to mention it earlier
but I thought better of it. Partly because of the subject matter and partly
because of style, per your comment "Photorealism isn't everything." <g> Anyway
its called TPANEL.ZIP and should you download it, see if you can view it on the
Ill Pro, as its rendered at that rez. and looks especially nice in a _real_
framebuffer. <g>
Speaking of which I got my Ill Pro installed on the Intel P90. Its terrific and
seems alot more stable than on the EISA, which has an odd memory arrangement as
well. I haven't got to Redon's works yet but its on hold, just a matter of me
dragging myself over there. <g>
I've heard that Fractal Painter was going 3D as well but somehow it didn't
register. Have to look into it. No… No… not another upgrade. <G> Jeez I
could keep writing, but gotta run…
Later,
John
