3ds and Win311
I've mine running fine on serveral P5/xx Mhz PCs. The trick is to use the
Vibrant VESA compatible driver, instead of the card's driver. Download the
latest fr. this forum and you'll see that VESA compatible will now handle up to
24-bit. [If you use the manufacturer's, it'll/might crash or corrupt.] I've
been running smoothly for couple of months now & happy w/ the Windows OS's
convienence. Big limitation is that I can't multitask when rendering on 3DS &
work on other apps.
Obviously you already know this, but just a reminder:
Re-read your installation guide. Use the 3DS.PIF that ships w/ R4 or R4c1.
Makesure to copy the pharlap.386 to X:\WINDOWS. Add device=pharlap.386 under
system.ini
