George, If you are running a 'standard' A500, no accelerator, standard serial, then there is absolutely no way you can use serial speeds greater than 19200. AND, you should not be running much else at the same time or you will get serial errors. In GPFax, if you get screen flashes when receiving faxes then this tells you you have serial overflow errors (the Amiga is losing data!) BTW: GPFax does not have anything to do with the Serial Preferences. It controls it internally.
