#GPFax wont Recieve

If you are running a 'standard' A500, no accelerator, standard serial,
then there is absolutely no way you can use serial speeds greater than
19200. AND, you should not be running much else at the same time or you
will get serial errors. In GPFax, if you get screen flashes when
receiving faxes then this tells you you have serial overflow errors (the
Amiga is losing data!)
BTW: GPFax does not have anything to do with the Serial Preferences. It
controls it internally. Just leave the BAUDRATE settings at default.

I have a standard A500 with no accelerators or fancy serial boards. I tend to
run only 1 program at a time and I have not seen any screen flashes yet. I did
get a 'Phase Frame Error' once and I don't see anything about that in the book.
I have GPFax 2.346 Class 1 22.2.94 and I am using a USR Sportster 14.4 modem. I
havent changed any of the settings in GPFax. My latest attempt at recieving
FAXES resulted in a FAX.IFF of 46846 – 1728 x 1092 2 colour. I think it has
something to do with the size of the picture. I was able to get the .iff into
PDraw if I set the page to 22 x 22 in (it was a bit bigger than this), and
could rescale it this way but couldn't save it as a PDraw clip. If I save from
DPaint or Brilliance I still cant load into PPage. If I rescale using the paint
programs I lose most of the detail in the picture.
The send part of the program works great, especially outputs from PPage and so
far I have had no problems there. If you think it is due to problems with an
early version how can I get an update? Thank you for your time
