Noah,
Panacea wrote the ADI driver which is bundled with Diamond VGA boards and
hence with your Gateway sysyem.
If you're getting AutoCAD crashes with your Gateway system, then you
haven't configured things properly. Most likely, I'd bet that you're using
the real mode DLD-VGA driver (found in the \ADI40) with Acad R10/386 or R11
and you have not set DLD-VGA's memory preallocation to TRUE. If you are
using a protected mode version or Acad, then you should use the protected
mode DLD386-VGA driver found in the \ADI41 directory.
I'd be happy to look at your configuration if you can email me the
particulars.
BTW, we have several Gateway systems here in our office and they've run
flawlessly for us. In fact, most of the DLD386-VGA driver which comes with
each Gateway system was developed on a Gateway 486 system.
