#HELP!! Uploading
HELP!!
I can't UpLoad to CIS.
First of all, I have no problems downloading.
I am in Canada. I call an 800 number datapac port. This port gets me to
iNet 2000, a Telecom Canada service. From here I can get to CIS, thru
datapac, then I imagine thru tymnet.
I do the ^P PROF <ret> SET 2:1 <ret> <ret> stuff okay.
Using two different programs. Using StarTerm 3.01, set up 8 bits, CRC
Xmodem, relaxed timing, no stripping, after a couple of blocks are sent
the upload box seems to disappear and I haven't the slightest idea what kind
of mode the terminal program is in. It should say Xmodem transfer Aborted,
but it didn't. (works very good for downloads as long as I don't have any
errors).
Using VT-100 V2.4 from here also. It takes forever. Have it sent to image
transfer, then choose xmodem upload. This program must have been sending
each block up to 5 times in a row before it gets a response out of CIS. I
swear that it must have taken me 5 minutes to upload 5 blocks, so called it
quits on the transfer. I know CIS time is free, but Datapac and iNet are
not, and together are about the same as CIS fees. I can't use this terminal
program for downloading because its timing isn't relaxed enough.
I was trying to upload this morning around 10AM Eastern time and the system
didn't seem slow.
Any help would be appreciated, as I would like to upload my printer drivers
and don't really want to try another terminal program until NovaComm is
available.
