Ted, >> What will this material be applied to? It's being applied to the dish of a lamp I have that was designed by a friend of mine about 5 years ago. She gave it to me for helping her move. I like her patterns and want to have CAD renderings of her work. So does she. The colors and materials of the dish aren't quite right, but you get the idea. Her name is Laura Drake, maybe you've heard of her. She's been published quite a lot. This particular lamp was in a gallery in Japan. Any feedback is welcome. By the way, did you have any luck with the "pea-green/powdery-brown blotchy look" for the dish that I was trying to achieve? When creating text in 3DS, I'm only getting the edges to appear at rendering time. To get a "block" or "solid" look, I DXF'd it into ACAD, rendered it there, then DXF'd it back to 3DS. I know there's a better way. What am I missing? TIM
