#NT Myths…
John,
I think Gary knows better that you would ever know my position regarding this
issue and I don't fell like explaining this in public. He knows the whole story
about me and he is the only who can have an opinion about this. And that's the
only thing I care about, BTW. Period. Your:
"I really think you've gotten what you asked for and now its not what you want.
Too bad… really.."
is so simplistic and untrue that I don't know how you dare to make such a
judgement with only a few pieces of my personal puzzle. It is the same with
your list of myths or half truths, depending on the way you look at them: A
couple of hours with NT and you think that you can post a list of "myths".
Geez, the theme here is that from your own particular experience, which can't
never be extrapolated to the universe, you are making the holy grail. Then, for
people who have been dealing with NT for a couple of years, like me, NT is not
the holy grail, although 3DS for NT WILL be the holy grail. NT is cool, but it
is not THE OS. It could be THE OS is the future, but it still has to grow and
improve in many areas. Right now, it is a good OS, a good soil for 3DS, but not
the best thing since sliced bread.
I have been the number one _3ds for NT_ supporter here and I will continue to
be the number one 3ds4NT fan. Yes, one of the reasons I wanted the program to
be ported was because we wanted all our apps to work together. Still, this is
what we are going to get, but not in the same way we planned before (read: no
prepress work on NT). But things change, like in your case (NT from Devil to
Angel: The Novel), and my perception about how I can put all the operations we
run together have changed too. We are approaching a nirvanna in many fields
and, for sure, NT, 3DS and the Alpha will complete a cycle here. Again, I have
never stopped to backup 3DS for NT and will never do, but there are a few miles
between that and not recognizing the problems that are part of NT.
