I'll tell you something frankly, and from a developers point of view; if it doesn't multitask, it's broken, with the single exception of certain simulations and games that require all the machines resources time wise; and they STILL do not have to crash the machine, they can simply shut off the tasking. There are very clean mechanisms to do it. Certain signal anaylisis programs may also require the system's resources for a short time – agin, (again) there is no need to crash the system to get them. It's slop programming, and that's ALL it is. You shouldn't treat this machine like it was a c64; doing so shows you (the developer in question, EA, for instance) as an amatuer. –Ben–
