Amiga WordPerfect -is- substantially cheaper than IBM WordPerfect to dealers, trust me! Alot more than the retail price suggests. As I understand it, there are 2 reasons. 1) [as I stated earlier] not to annoy the IBM users who realised we were getting the IBM product, improved, and for cheaper. 2) After seeing the suggested retail price, when people saw it on the dealers' shelves would say "oh what a deal" and buy on impulse. But, most of your argument is based on the premise that IBM WP costs the dealer the same (or close) as Amiga WP and I can tell you there's a significant difference. You may or may not agree with the policy (I'm not to sure that I agree) but I don't think it's a bone of contention among dealers. When's the last time you've seen a dot matrix printer sold at it's SRP?
