I can't help you with much of your question, but I can tell you about
some of the differences between the monitors.
1080 and 2002 No difference other than the nameplate.
1080 and 1084 Very little difference, different manufacturer
and differnt input plugs (DIN plugs which are NOT
very stable on the 1084)
All three of them are 'moderate' video quality, sufficient for most
needs…but there are both better and worse monitors available…with
appropriate prices.
