The venetian blinds syndrome has NOTHING whatever to do with the
program/processor driving the printer, it has SOLELY to do with the
printer. I suspect that you are using fanfold/pin-feed paper. When doing
graphic images it is best to do them one sheet at a time and friciton feed.
The reason is that no printer's platen and pin-feed mechanisms are ever
exactly in synch. Slightly different thicknesses of paper will change the
discrepancaies between them. Err, the earlier not the program/processor is
a slight exageration, the early Epson drivers for the Amiga has a few
peculiarities in them, like having to select 'CUSTOM' paper size to run
correctly with SOME Epson printers.
