Barry, The Insider II does not require any soldering, it just plugs in with two jumper wires to connect. There is a 20+ page manual that describes step by step how to install the board. The memory is true FAST ram, with the only wait states caused by refresh collision. (very few) It uses 256Kx4 DRAMS of any speed you can get. It'll work with 150ns chips, but they don't make the 256Kx4's that slow. A bank of 512K requires 4 chips, 12 to fully populate to 1-1/2 meg. Any other questions, I'd be happy to answer.
