Hi Frank, Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh in my previous message. I was just thinking out loud in case an opportunity presented itself for me to acquire some 'used' software at a 'reasonable' price. BTW I'm not a lawyer either, so we probably know as much as each other<g> Some software companies seem to allow this and others don't. I suppose the thing to do is to wait until the scenario I posed actually arises and then ask the question at the time. I saw a curious thing Friday on installing a new PC. One side of the sealed envelope was printed 'Software Licence for the UK', while the other side said 'Software Licence for the USA'. I hasten to add this wasn't any of Computer Library's products and I didn't try to spot the differences between the two<g>. They must have been very subtle as both opening paragraphs were identical. Even more curious is that I'm located in Germany, the software was the German version, and the machines were purchased through an 'official' German distributor, but no mention anywhere of a 'Software Licence for Germany'. Best regards Adrian
