It sounds like you've got the right idea already, Michael. Go into AApro (or Animator) and set up the pallette any way you like it. Save it out and use it as a custom pallette. 3DS will render the 8-bit flic or .gif with only these colors. You could also take an existing flc/fli and force it to a new pallette of your choosing with the One Pallette command. Hope this is helpful.
