Gracia: If the CG fonts you're using are equivalent to fonts resident in the PostScript printer, then it's not a big deal. We already provide the required files with PageStream. If the CG fonts you want to use are in oops, are not resident, then they must be downloaded. CG fonts cannot be downloaded to a PostScript printer due to incompatibilities. There is a way to do this with PageStream2—it requires a PSF file telling PageStream the name of an equivalent .PS file to download (just like PPage.) Unfortunately, there is no way for a user to create a PSF file. We didn't add this capability to TypeSmith because PSF files are heading for the dustbin with 3.0. In 3.0, we plan to generate the information on the fly from the CG files, so that you can print them to PostScript printers without thinking about what type of font file they are. But until then, there is no way to print CG fonts to a PS printer easily with PgS unless you know how to make a PSF file, and how to edit your fontequiv file. For now, you can either get somebody who knows how to make PSF files to make some for you. (The PS files from GD are the same format we use so you don't have to change those.) But unless you like newzap, you should probably wait for 3.0 for this feature. Your best bet until then is to convert the fonts to PostScript Type 1 format with a program like Type- Smith, or to use other fonts. I apologize for the confusion. I should have alerted you that CG fonts do not work with PS printers very well. We are working to make fonts easier than ever in 3.0. And of course, if you just bought a full copy of 2.2, you'll get a free upgrade to 3.0. There are lots of good PD fonts online here that you can download for use with PgS.
