<<The SBPro and the Mitsumi both use a 40-pin cable to interface with their respective components. So, in theory they might be compatible. I've actually spoken to a few people who have, by reversing the cable, gotten the Mitsumi drive to work while plugged into the SBPro. This might have been what the salesman you spoke to was referring to… However, be warned about this trick, because some people who tried this have fried their SBPro.
