We are considering adding a CD-ROM drive to our Novell network for mass storage of engineering drawings etc. We are running Novell 2.15 Rev. C and Novell 3.11 We currently use a WORM drive for this purpose and would like to move away from this technology to one that seems to become more of a standard. Our initial idea was to gather data on another media such as tape or a removeable hard drive and periodically (when enough data has been gathered) take the data to a third party that can author CD's from it. Would appreciate any ideas/suggestions concerning hardware and software required. For example: Is there software for a CD-ROM drive on a Novell file server? Are the CD-ROM drives advertised in many cataloges for stand alone PC's appropriate for a network server? Harry Green NET Systems, Inc 75450,501
