'Pinnacle CD-ROM writer breaks price barrier'
Pinnacle Micro's RCD-202 CD-ROM recorder whipped last month for $3,995,
approximately half the cost of competing systems. The unit ca be used to
read & write CDs in a number of formats, including multisession PhotoCDs,
AppleHFS, and ISO-9660. It can also record audio CD discs from AIFF and
Digidesign Sound Designer II files.
The recorder is a half-height SCSI device and discs cost $39/ea.
