You MUST be kidding! Atari? Atari computers are doorstops! That is all
ANY computer is without software, and new software development for the ST
is close to nil. Of course, in the case of the Falcon, there isn't any
hardware either. <g> When and if it does come out, the audio capabilities
won't even come close to that of the CBM DSP board. I'll give you three
guesses as to which will have more software support. And if you think
current sales of Atari computers are anywhere even close to that of Amigas
you are misinformed. And they are falling, not gaining. Like a rock.
There is no place to buy hardware, and no place to buy software, and
nothing much to buy if you COULD find any. I seriously doubt that anyone
at CBM needs to sit up nights worrying about Atari! Now, cheap Macs,
THAT'S a problem. Dirt-cheap clones taking over the market entirely,
that's a problem. People who say "Omega? What's an Omega?", that's a
problem. A close-to-bankrupt Atari isn't.
(Boy, that felt great! It's been YEARS since I got off a good Atari
flame. Heck, it's been years since *anyone* flamed Atari. Too much like
beating a dead horse.)
