Well, I'd love to have a Philips recorder myself, so if you could spring
for that the logical thing to do would be to just hang a stock CD ROM on the
SCSI chain and use it for playback tests. Okay, you'll have to remove the disk
from the Philips and put it in the other one, but nothing's perfect….
