Jonathan I don't know the HP printer, but it does sound as though the printer buffer is getting full, the handshaking stops the Amiga sending, and then it is taking a long time to clear the buffer (so the printer driver thinks the printer has packed up!) The only thing I can think of is to disable the printer buffer … although I have no idea how you would do that. Mike (from the UK)
