#CD Player
Thanks for your continued interest.
1) CDPlayer for windows has a universal install program for the
creation of a directory, copying of the files and creation of
a program group. It is not necessary to use this program and
the documentation gives details of how to install it
manually, in which case you can add it to whichever box is
required.
2) The icon contained within CDPlayer is a picture of a CD. If
you are seeing anything else it is coming from NDT not
CDPlayer. Under program manager you simply edit program
item properties and select the program name for the icon
source to use the icon from the program. I have no idea if
NDT uses a different method.
3) CDTSR, a demo provided with CDPlayer, is a TSR playing
handset. CDPlayer is not TSR. When you tell CDPlayer to
play a disc it sends the instruction to the CDROM and
monitors play progress. If you exit from CDPlayer, the
drive continues to execute the instruction, but from that
point on CDPlayer plays no part in events. If your disc
entered into a repeat it is was either something to do with
the program you were running or a fault on the drive – e.g
dirt on the disc.
4) The reason for displaying CDPlayer over the screen was
because we were thinking, at some stage, of making the whole
program TSR. This would allow it to play custom programs and
repeat plays in the background while other DOS applications
were running. I am not sure there is a call for this, and If
there is we would now probably add it to CDTSR. I will clear
the background in the next release, thanks for pointing it
out.
5) Re pricing, I am afraid this is not possible. We simply
cannot accept payment in any form other than Sterling, as it
costs between 7 and 10 UK pounds to clear each one –
