Dave, Don't feel bad about problems with IDE drives. I've had the same problems. Last one was a Conner CP3204 which would not boot. I finally got someone in Conner tech support, who told me to low-level format the drive. Until then Conner people had always told me _not_ to do that. Anyway, I did a low-level format, FDISK, and FORMAT /S and it worked. Go figure. << AAaarrrgggg!!! >> Well said! Whenever you figure out the current graphics adapter mess, please let me know. <g> Yoga is good. <g> I'll look forward to that .BMP file. It probably won't be long before I get to the same point. The WINNT forum is interesting now. It will probably explode when the product actually hits the street. I'll mention your name to Bob next time I post a message over there. Before I got the message I'm replying to, I sent you that summary of disk space utilization I mentioned. The amount of disk space lost to partially filled clusters can get quite large. I seem to remember that the maximum partition size in DOS is 512 MB, and the maximum disk size is 2 GB. Would have to look it up to be sure. Right now I am using my Adaptec 1542C SCSI adapter along with an IDE boot drive. I have _not_ disabled the SCSI BIOS, and all seems to be well. Take your best shot! Don't blame me for all that rain! Everybody knows that you Dallasites are the ones who send bad weather our way. Remember, there's nothing between Dallas and the north pole but barbed wire fences. <bg> -=Rob=-
