Rob,
Well, I gave you the bad news in reply to the disk space usage chart you sent
me. 🙁
I'll bet there is a motherboard problem, and I have an awful feeling that I'll
be out some serious (additional) change before I get everything going.
Thanks for the reinforcement that an IDE boot can live with a SCSI setup. I
have three other verifications that this will work (and a couple that it
won't!). I'm willing to swap out my IDE 360 for a SCSI, though, if I have to
to get a system that works.
Interesting about the Conner. I bought a CP3364 (540 Mb) last summer and it
wouldn't hold the partition. Took it to the clone man and he couldn't make it
work. The dealer sent me another one and same thing. Strange- I wound up with
a CP3544 (360 Mb) which works fine and happens to share the technical manual
with the 3364. Figure!! No on ever mentioned low-level formatting the bigger
drive, although I had heard that it could be done.
I'll try to slay other dragons until I figure what the next step will be with
my SCSI setup.
The weather is moving *backwards* around here for a few days. Is this 'Houston
Revenge'?
