Hi there… I did my business card in 3DS. I rendered to a TGA file, had it digitally recorded to film, and then developed and printed normally as I would photographic business cards. I mapped a scene onto a 2 x 3.5 rectangle, floated some text over it, and rendered at 1024 x 768 (which includes a black area around the rectangle). The net resolution on the rectangle was about 900 x 700. The image detail is excellent, and prints well. It would look even better at the higher resolutions 3DS supports, I suppose, but the rendering times / file sizes throw me off. Anyway, hope this helps. Can't help with service bureau's unless you're somewhere near Vancouver, B.C.
