Wayne, I agree with 98% of what you have said. The big point that I am trying to make is: for most of us the Amiga is not the cornerstone of our business, it is a tool we use in order to conduct our business more professionally. I may be a little different than most, I definetly depend on my amiga for work, but it is not video or animation based, it is just general computing stuff, my most used program is superbase, a word prcessor ect. I do PLAY with the graphics, sound and animation. And that is fun. For me the entire Amiga market could evaporate off the face of the earth and I would still be productively using my machine until it broke. I DO depend on it to do the job it does though and it is not a hobby. Your posts (as well as John Foust's) come across as excessively negative, and it takes no imagination to run around and declare the sky is falling. All the facts are not in yet, much of what has been said (even by people who should be in the know) are rumors and guesses as to what is going on. From the few facts that have presented themselves I do BELIEVE something fishy is going with Commodore International, and we may not see the end of the Amiga yet. BUT I am prepared for the worst and will make my plans accordingly as the smoke clears and the dust settles. Just don't start shoveling dirt on the Amiga yet. …Steve CBM: The end of an era (or is that error?)
