I believe that there's a problem with long (More than a couple of inches)
IDE cables that will prevent you from using external IDE hard drives with
the A1200.
About the only solution I can think of for using a 3.5" drive, if it's one
of the really thin ones, would be to put it where the internal floppy
normally goes. 3.0 will let you boot from DF1. …
