Why is that? About a Ka-billion messages have gone by from Emplant users
stating that what Jim claimed for the Emplant was unrealistic, until they
saw it work. Why would you be laughing at that? He has a product that
does what it says it does, and does it well. (In this case, better than
the machine it is emulating. Much like a C-64 emulator on an '040 machine
<g>)
However, most of this boils down too… If I want a Mac, I'll buy a Mac.
Same for a PC. If I want an Amiga, and I can throw in GREAT emulation of
other platforms then is a $1600 Mac really a bargain?
For you to run out and buy an Emplant would be stupid, you already have
one. For someone who owns only an Amiga, and wants to broaden his
platforms… (Maybe a garage-shop up and coming software developer with
little bucks) then an Emplant is perfect. Especially since 486 emulation
appears to be right around the corner. You won't need two Emplant cards,
just one. So that is an even further bargain, yes?
I don't own an Emplant (No PCMCIA version yet… <cough, cough, cough>) so
I can't, with conscience, ride the zealot warhorse here, but to laugh at
an ad, that REAL PEOPLE say is very truthful is a bit closed minded isn't
it? (That's a real question… if it isn't closed minded please tell me
so.)
