Frank,
>Because our inner ear "denies" the plane change when we tilt our head, we
percieve objects as being flat even >when we are "seeing" them on an angle.
Reflections on these objects appear not to change when we tilt our >head, even
though they are shifting with the object. Since we do not "see" the objects out
of the horizontal, we do >not "see" the reflections tilting. Interesting.
This is something in everyday life…. Watching TV lying on ones side on a
couch. One can still make sense of the image.
>I have no problem admitting a mistake, but I am always suspect when the
respose is: if the computer said it, it must >be so.
I agree! But one has to remember those who coded it (trueSpace, 3DS, etc.) put
many hours (years…) of thought into the design, with questions just like
yours.
>Still, lets not stop asking them. . . sometimes they lead to breakthroughs.
True, I'm sure we'll all have many in the years to come…

Ian
