Stephen, Start by trying to digitize a rather simple object..something that isn't vert detailed. This way you can get a feel of how to go about it. What I do is think in terms of cross-sections. So I will visualize cross-sections along the object, and plot (with a marker) reference points on the model itself. Also, what you want to be in is lofting mode for creating the object. Once you get some more hands on time with it, please do ask if you are having difficulty with it. Once you get the idea of it, it's a snap. -GreG
