Hi Ian,
>> I spent many months tracking this problem down with the SB 16s… I
actually had to downgrade various drivers to get rid of the problem.
Ok, I'll look into this.
>> Check the dates of your SB16 drivers…
Well, up until a few days ago, they were very old (v. 1.0 ?). CLabs told me to
upgrade to the newest ones so I did. But I couldn't perceive any
differences…
>> Also, make sure you have "Skip Frames if Behind" checked under Device,
Configure in Media Player.
That was it ! Actually, I find this out right after I posted my message <sg>
(sheepish grin). I "installed" another CD with AVI's and it changed that
setting without my knowledge – I was finally able to track it down. But my
video card seems to skip too many frames with this on – how can I speed it up
(or check if it's broken) ?
Thanks for the help !
– Shane.
ps. I have an ATI Graphics Pro Turbo (mach 64) 4 meg Local-Bus card on a
486-33 with lots-o-RAM.
