Anyway, all kidding aside, I ended up just killing the thing and only arraying 6 objects at a time. It seems to have worked. It has now been saving for the last two hours (up to 20k objects, at the moment, only 4k more to go!). However, I rendered an image last night, and it looks really good. I showed it to one of our foresters earlier, and he guessed the right age of the tree, even though these are sort of mock trees. The heigth and width and branch circumference are all statistically accurate, but the tree itself bears no real resemblance to the tree it represents. As soon as I get an image that shows more than one tree type, I may upload it here to the forum. Odd, considering I have been haging around here for three years and I've never uploaded anything.
