Ah, but Shrevepit, Looserana really is the Nation's Largest Hick Town. We're the second or third largest city in Looserana (depending on what statistics you believe, we are either just barely larger than or just barely smaller than Baton Rouge, but of course N'awlins has us both beat in size), with over HALF A MILLION people in the metropolitan statistical area, yet several considerably smaller cities in Looserana have 9600 and even 14.4k nodes for Compuserve (Laffayette, Lake Charles), Tymnet (Alexandria), SprintNet, etc. We Just Recently, FINALLY got a 9600bps TymNet node, but still no SprintNet or CIS or GEIS or any other service nodes faster than 2400bps. In fact, we only got a 2400bps TeleNet node a month or two before GTE TeleNet became SprintNet! Before then we only had 300 and 1200! And that was within this decade.
