Hi Alec are you in luck!, how about a converter box that plugs into your computer monitor, and plugs into your tv for 139$ !, it does 640×480 resolution .. the MAX any box of this type can handle, … super super colour, no flickering… I bought this box after finding out about it from another user on this board. I use it to tape lots of stuff to vhs video casettes, it works super well. Here in Canada is sells for 249$ but I got it through a computer warehouse last year in the states for 139$ .. it is called : PRO PC/TV PLUS and the company name is AI TECH. This is the best buy for the money, and is the most popular box by far. .. Anyway, now if I can only remember the name of the warehouse.
