I tried that first before resorting to the manual way. I don't know if you downloaded the avi or not, but if you look closely, the flare is "very animated". Premiere will let you apply the filter at different positions and intensities for the start and end frames and what you end up with is a linear transition between the settings – no curves allowed. The animation path has circles and loops in it. To accomplish the same result, I would have had to break the avi up into many pieces in Premiere and apply different settings to the various pieces. Even then it would not be exact. In Photoshop I am able to precisely set the flare where I want with the help of the zoom levels etc. I do admit though that I might possibly have used it on about half of the animation since the path is linear on two separate 2-3 second segments. Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to try that on the next project. Tim
