Our business runs an HP4 [no letter] that we bought over a year ago, and we run
a PC to the parallel and a DEC/VAX network to the serial. This HP has autoport
sensing and until recently the setup worked with no problem. It's not working
now, but I think that someone [maybe me] messed up something in the DEC system
and caused that problem. My guess is that your setup will work fine.
