Sam, You'll have better luck downloading if you change your serial setting to 8N1. You will also want to set your term program to "strip high bit". The problem is that most Amiga software doesn't handle 7-bit (7e1) settings properly for binary file downloads — it's not really the software authors' fault, as the architecture of the Amiga isn't really designed to switch serial settings (like byte format) in the middle of a session.
