I salute your company's success, but our company (a $6 Billion electric
utility), is just the opposite. We are phasing out the few OS/2 apps we have in
favor or NTAS or Unix. We are currently using Windows 3.1 and Application
Manager on the desktop, but that will migrate to WFW this year, with NTWS
available for "power users." Our corporate direction is for OS/2 to have no
presence by the end of 1995.
For personal use, I just don't see OS/2 going anywhere. Yeah, I know
the latest versions are a lot better than previous versions, and
sales are up. But for IBM to rave about market share half that of
Apple is significant in itself. Even that wouldn't be so bad; after
all, I am an Amiga user. But I see OS/2 as an island with little to
recommend living there.
