Jim, >>"I fell down and couldn't get up" – this was met by a tremendous ovation. I'll try the line in my show tomorrow night. I would LOVE a tremedous ovation! <g> As a comedian with forty years experience, nothing comes to mind in reference to that line before the commercial. Stars can get applause for just being there, and perhaps the audience was just showing love and support. And you've spent all of that time wondering…<g> Now, I'm surprised that I don't know the "lions in the bathtub" story. It sounds like the punchline for what we used to call "Dr. Pepper Jokes." All were pointless, told by people in the know to make the unknowing feel foolish for not catching the "joke". [Greatly shortened example] Man goes into restaurant with a banana behind his ear on Monday, [repeat through Wednesday] Thursday he come in with celery, the owner can no longer stand it and say, why did you come in here Mon-Wed with a banana behind your ear, and today it's celery? [Reply] Oh, because today is Thursday. Peggy Lee would have gotten laughter and applause for that. I'd get fired! <vbg> It is now "next time", so elaborate on the Lion story! (NOW! I leave tomorrow! <vbg>) Jim Jaywal Productions, Inc.
