#DP 5 Drivers?
Rick,
> I've been looking at DP5 and haven't purchased it because it looked to me
that you need Magic Lantern to output 8-24 bit animations
I am not familiar with Magic Lantern, what is that? Software? Hardware? It
does sound interesting!
>You said it gives the option to use your Picasso for output? Don't suppose it
offered and Opalvision output?
Nope, no Opal output. But it doesn't output CORRECTLY to Picasso either,
even though the modes come up on the opening requestor. A lot of things don't
work right, some crash the system when you try them, and when trying to save
(in 256 color Picasso mode) all I get is some strange garbage that reminds me
of colored lacey screen snow…:(
>I would like to retarget the display or animation to my Opalvision card. I
know Magic Lantern will do this and very well from what I understand.
Now I'm even MORE interested in Magic Lantern!
>Perhaps these vendors should bundle the two for package deal or something.
DPaint V is the last productivity program from EA, according to them, so I
doubt they'll be bundling ANYTHING…
In any event, I'm EXTREMELY unimpressed with DPaint V, intend to re-install
DPaint IV next time I need the program. Wasted $70 or so but what to do? EA
SAID they'd get back to me on my problems, but I'm not holding my breath.
