Hi Lepido, No, actually I don't have a Mac, I've got a 2000 with the Gforce 030 at 40 Mhz, 2 meg of chip and 6 meg of fast RAM. What is XV? I want to take anims from DPaint and convert them for viewing on the Mac. Also want to do the same for the PC. From what I understand Image FX will do that for FLI/FLC formats in any resolution. I have Image Master but i think that can only do it in lo-res. My purpose is to create pictures and animations for use in Demo disks and MultiMedia applications. I'm doing some 3D also in Lightwave, but I just do simple stuff that I load the frames into Brilliance to create anim files with it. At first I was disappointed to hear about the release of DP5 soon after getting Brilliance. But from what I've read in the forum here. It seems that Brilliance was the way to go. From what I read about DPaint 5 it sounded like they had implemented alot of the animation features that Brilliance was smart enough to put in. My problem is that I'm so used to the Dpaint interface I've found Brilliance ackward, and have gotten frustrated, and gone back to what I know in DPaint. I had discovered a couple features DP 4 has that Brillinace does not such as Anim Fill. There was something else that I kind of did alot of in DP that Brilliance wouldn't do but I can't remember what. But from what I've read from others, I seem to be the only one complaining about these differences. I will say however I have found Brilliance excellent when it comes to loading 24 bit images and reducing them to 16 colors. Also the text feature is excellent and makes it very easy to do quick titling. Also the ability to load a sequence of frames to create an anim file is a breeze compared to ADPro or Anim Workshop. I quess I shouldn't complain about it too much since the things I've just mentioned are almost worth the price of it alone. Although the first reason I got it was for it's infamous speed which I did not find to be that great except for in a couple of functions. But I understand some of my limitations being in my 2000. I understand it is much better in AGA machines. Back to my conversion to Mac files. I don't think I need to write to a Mac disk since Macs can read PC disks and I've got Cross Dos for that. Besides I think uploading to a Mac, which is probably what I'll be doing would solve that problem as well. I've heard of Mac using Quicktime. Is that the only anim format for Mac? Not sure what you mean by the datafork? also, what is AMICDFS. Is MacConvert shareware or commercial software? As you can see, I'm a little confused. Rick
