With this being your second Flyer board, maybe it's time to try installing it
into a different A2000?
Although it's far removed from your problems, I had difficulty getting an
A4000 motherboard to work in a ToasterOven. Went nuts trying to figure it out
and burned a lot of time trying to work it out with the guy who manufactures
the ToasterOven.
When I purchased a second A4000 with the Rev 11 Buster and installed that in
the ToasterOven, it worked fine.
Turns out that the A4000 motherboard with the 09 Buster didn't work with the
big power supply used in the ToasterOven. Learning that cost me close to forty
hours of diddling and dinking.
I recognize that you truly know your stuff, but the level of difficulty
you've been experiencing makes me wonder if you shouldn't start exploring
off-the-wall reasons and installing your Flyer card into another A2000 is
probably a good way to start. If it works in a different installation, then you
know you've got some weird anomaly in your machine. On the other hand, if it
doesn't work, your alternative scenario that the Flyer is incompatible with the
A2000 sure picks up strength.
