SCSI CD-Roms
Believe it or not the Future Domain documentation for the TMC850M suggests
removing the BIOS chip. In a box it says, "NOTE: If no disk drives are
being used, and the TMC-860M is only being used to control tape, CD-ROM or
optical disks, you may remove the BIOS ROM chip to speed up booting." I
left mine in as I'm not in that much of a hurry. I know from experience
that if I remove it I won't be able to find it when I do need it. Jim
