Ken, I spoke to our "font expert" about your question (because things aren't as simple as they used to be :-)). Here's what he had to say: "There are three scenarios to consider here: 1- The customer is using WFNs (custom, converted, or Corel) 2- The customer is using True Type 3- The customer is using Type 1's. CorelDRAW 3.0 handles WFN's similarily to the way previous versions did with the name that appears in the Fonts listbox being able to be modified by editing the coreldrw.ini file [CorelDRWFonts] – note that you would also have to update the [Corel20FontMap] section if you were opening old files that referenced these fonts. True Type and Type 1 fonts are handled by their respective font engines (Windows and ATM). Any name changes would have to done on their end (I don't think it's possible). The name that shows up in the Fonts listbox is the name that we are passed from ATM, or whatever, and we have no way of modifying it. You could use the export filters from within DRAW! (EXPAT1.DLL and EXPTTF.DLL) to open and modify each font file permanently, but this would be a very long and tedious task (you would probably have to remove and re-install each one after doing this)." Ken, maybe you'll just want to outright *remove* the old, unstable fonts you have gotten from other sources. Donna
