V32.bis modem
Well, on the "Busy signal resets modem" problem…. It _wasn't_ unique… I
just got my modem back — it had _that_ exact problem. Now I have another
"little" glitch…. I can't seem to get the modem to "translate" the
connection rates…
What I mean by this is:
I log on to a BBS on using a "Direct Mode" connection.
If the bit rate I used was 57600bps, and I connected to the BBS at 2400
bps, the modem -> computer speed _sometimes_ falls back to 2400 as well.
Is this supposed to happen? If not (and I would think not, I LIKE "locked"
serial connections), what command "fixes" the modem <–> computer data
rate?
