Steve, Actually I figured out the problems before I read your message. The first problem was that the terminators were still installed on the Adaptec card which gave three terminators instead of two (which stopped the SCSISCAN from finding the CDD 521). The second problem was the ID of the SCSI HD was set to 7 as factory default and unchanged. I reset it to ID 0 and it works fine. The only glitch now is that the SCSISCAN shows the CDD 521 showing up six times but it list the proper ID each time and I can't see that it's hurting anything. Jerry
